The Riviera Maya is one of the most beautiful cruise destinations known to man. The waters of Riviera Maya contains an impressive coral reef system where you can discover exotic tropical fish, manta rays, whale sharks and you may even meet a dolphin! The riviera extends from Puerto Morelos to Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve.
There are countless opportunities for fun and adventure after arriving to this beautiful destination. Riviera Maya offers tons of activities that allow you to waters such as: snorkeling, scuba diving. Not only can you explore the ocean, but you can try cave diving and you can also explore the cenotes that hold tons of sea life and adventure.
For those who are not interested in water activities, there are tons of options available on shore. These activities are for everyone of all ages. There are top-notch restaurants scattered throughout the area, along with hiking trails (where you can also rent ATVs) through the rainforest, golf courses, spas and not to mention Carmen beach. Carmen beach is an ancient village turned luxurious city where you can walk through the streets and check out shops and fine dining.
The Mexican Riviera is beautiful adventurous place that is packed full of opportunities. Don’t miss out on this once of a lifetime adventure.

While more of a resort destination, there are still plenty of things to do from a cruise.  Mayan ruins are popular tours from Cancun, Cozumel and Belize ports.  Tulum is a short trip from Cancun and usually includes a snorkeling trip as well.  Chichen Itza tends to be an all day trip, but it’s worth it if you have never been there before.  Ruins on Cozumel are interesting but not on the scale of most of the sites in the Yucatan.
